The 2019 Integrated Design Studio (IDS) class at Newberg High School began construction this week on their tiny home.  They will also be wrapping up construction on our first tiny home—started last spring and completed to about 90%.  We are building these homes to support the work of Love INC and the Newberg Community Shelter.  The homes will provide next-step, transitional housing for women moving out of the shelter and on their path toward independent living.  We have 14 students in IDS this semester who will be sharing our process with you via the Innovate Newberg blog.  Each week, two students will be posting brief progress reports and pictures of the work the class is engaged in.  Check back often to read about the experience from the student perspective.
