This week, the IDS class has been cutting wood to assemble the floor plan of the tiny house. We were separated into groups of three or four members each. Every group was working on different things in the process. One group was cutting two by eight inch boards, another group would cut two by two inch boards, and the other group was caulking and then screwing the two by two’s and two by eight’s together to make the floor. After the wood had been cut and caulked, we then laid out all of the pieces in the correct places so it fit according to the blueprint. Once the groups finished their part in the operation, we started building and putting all of the pieces where they need to be. Currently our team is still working on getting all of the joists put together, but we should have everything finished by the end of today.
